Recently we had launched our Piñata-making Workshop. Aiming to connect Mexican food with Mexican art, the workshop offers to kids (5-12 years old) or adults. Last Sunday we just had another workshop with over 20 kids and their parents and it was a total success! We had tons of fun in learning how to make a piñata and it was extremely satisfying as a restaurateur to see the kids and parents interacting and working together in their little projects and take home with the colorful piñata!
As this initial class was targeted to kids between 6-8 years old, making a piñata from scratch was probably too demanding. Therefore we prepared the papermache base ourselves ahead for the kids focus on decorating and cutting the colorful paper wraps. It proved to be a right strategy which it was not too easy but challenging enough to excite both the kids and parents.
