Ingredients:
Milk 200ml
Butter 225g
Margarine 110g
5 eggs
Sugar 200g
Lemon 1 piece
Salt 0.5 tsp
Baking powder 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 6 tbsp
Flour 420g
Recipe:
1) Add butter, margarine and sugar and lemon juice into a mixing bowl
2) Preheat the oven at 180C for 10 minutes
3) Mix all ingredients together with an electric mixer
4) Add lemon zest and squeeze the juice from the lemon and mix thoroughly
5) Add flour, baking powder, egg, milk and salt to the mixing bowl. Mix all ingredients thoroughly
6) Butter the baking tray and pour the cake dough on to the tray until it is 3/4 full. Cover with a piece of aluminium foil
7) Bake at 180C for 40 minutes
8) Remove the aluminium foil and bake 10 minutes more
