Taro Cake is one of the classic dim sum dishes and is often eaten during the Lunar New Year. Today Mommie taught me and Eli to cook the super yummy taro cake with grandma’s secret recipe! This homemade Taro Cake recipe is easy to make at home. My faovrite part is to play with the flour mix and taste the yummy Taro Cake and I’m sure your kid will love it too!
芋頭糕是經典的點心之一,亦是農曆新年期間享用的糕點之一。今天媽媽用婆婆的秘方教我和 Eli 做超級好吃的芋頭糕!這個足料的芋頭糕食譜很容易製作。我最喜歡的當然是可以玩麵粉和試吃美味的芋頭糕,我相信你的孩子也會我一樣十分喜歡做芋頭糕!
Ingredients:
Taro 1600g
Chinese Sausage 220g
Cured Pork Belly 150g
Dried Shrimp 160g
Dried Scallop 160g
Dried Mushroom 12pcs (Medium size)
Rice Flour 520g
Wheat Starch 140g
Five Spice Powder 3 tsp
Sesame Oil 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Pepper 1/8 tsp
Water 8 Cups
Tip: Reuse the water used to soak the dried shrimp, scallop and mushroom
Recipe:
1) Soak the dried shrimp, dried mushroom, dried scallop overnight
2) Shredded the scallop into small pieces
3) Cut Chinese sausage and cured pork belly into small pieces
4) Cut the mushroom and shrimp into small pieces
5) Heat up your pot (medium fire) and add some cooking oil
6) Add the shrimp to the pot and cook it for a short while
7) Add the Chinese sausage and cured pork belly to the pot. Cook it for awhile until you can smell the ingredients
8) Add mushroom and scallop to the pot. Stir everything well. Turn off the fire when everything is cooked
9) Dissolve the Rice Flour and Wheat Starch with 2 cups of water (Tip: Slowly add the water while stirring the mixture continuously until everything is completely dissolved.)
10) Heat a clean pan and add some cooking oil. Add the taro to the pan. Let it cook until the taro is half way done
11) Add five spice powder. Stir well and cook till you can smell the spice
12) Add sugar, salt, pepper and sesame oil and pour all the remaining water into the pan
13) Cover the lid and cook the taro till it is soft. If you like chunky texture, make sure your taro is not overcooked
14) When the taro is soft, add the cooked Chinese sausage and other ingredients to the pot and mix everything together
15) Add the rice flour mixture slowly to the pot and mix well
16) Put the mixture into your containers
17) Steam the taro cake until everything is thoroughly cooked (about 30 minutes)
18) Ready to eat
材料:
芋頭 1600克
臘腸 220克
臘肉 150克
蝦米 160克
瑤柱 160克
冬菇 12件(中)
粘米粉 520克
澄麵 140克
五香粉 3茶匙
芝麻油 1茶匙
鹽 1茶匙
糖 1茶匙
胡椒粉 1/8 茶匙
水 8 杯
提示:浸泡蝦米、瑤柱和冬菇的水不要倒,當作水用
食譜:
1) 將蝦米、冬菇、瑤柱浸泡一夜
2) 將瑤柱切成小塊
3) 將臘腸和臘肉切成小塊
4) 把冬菇和蝦米切成小塊
5) 燒熱鍋(中火),加入少許食油
6) 將蝦米放入鍋中煮一會兒
7) 將臘腸和臘肉加入鍋中。煮一會兒,直到你能聞到配料的味道
8) 將冬菇和瑤柱加入鍋中。攪拌好一切。煮熟後關火
9) 用2杯水溶解粘米粉和澄麵
10) 在不斷攪拌的同時緩慢加入水,直到所有粉粒完全溶解
11) 把一個乾淨的平底鍋加熱,加入一些食油。把芋頭加到鍋裡。將芋頭煮到一半熟
12) 加入五香粉。攪拌均勻,煮至聞到香料味
13) 加入糖、鹽、胡椒粉、芝麻油,將剩餘的水全部倒入鍋中
14) 蓋上蓋子,將芋頭煮至軟身。如果你喜歡有口感,確保你的芋頭沒有煮過頭
15) 待芋頭變軟後,將煮熟的臘腸等食材倒入鍋中,攪拌均勻
16) 將調好的米糊慢慢加入鍋中,攪拌均勻
17) 將芋頭糕放入容器中
18) 將芋頭糕蒸至熟透(約30分鐘)
19) 可以吃了
