It’s Easter weekend! Let’s make Mexican Bread Pudding, Capirotada! Capirotada is a traditional Mexican dessert that is eaten during Lenten period. It is one of the dishes served on Good Friday. This is my first time making and eating this delicious dessert. Thank you so much Eli for teaching me this delicious recipe!

Ingredients:
Banana 400g
Bolillo roll 650g
Milk 300ml
Evaporated milk 1 can
Condensed milk 1 can
Water 170ml
Eggs Yolk 3 pcs
Mixed nuts 100g
Peanuts 100g
Rasins 100g
Vanilla oil 1/2 tsp
Corn tortilla 8pcs
Ranchero or Feta cheese 100g
Black sugar 50g
Cinnamon stick 1pc
Butter 10g
Cooking oil 10ml
Recipe:
1) Take out the peanut shells
2) Cut the bread roll into small pieces (1cm thick)
3) Take out the banana skin and cut into small pieces
4 Grill the corn tortilla with oil until soft
5) Toast the bread roll with butter
6) Fry the banana until it turns golden yellow
7) Boil the water with the cinnamon stick and black sugar until the sugar dissolves
8) Crack 3 eggs and separate the egg yolk with egg white
9) Mix the egg yolk well
10) Add the milk, evaporated milk and condensed milk to the sugar water and stir well. Heat it with small flame
11) Add some warm milk mixture to the egg yolk
12) Now you can add the egg yolk to the warm milk mixture
13) Add half tsp vanilla oil
14) Put butter all over the baking dish
15) Cover the bottom and the side of the baking dish with corn tortillas
16) Dip the bread in the milk mixture and cover the corn tortilla
17) Add the mixed nuts, peanuts, cheese, raisins, banana and more milk mixture
18) Add another layer of bread
19) Add another layer of mixed nuts, peanuts, cheese and raisins
20) Add more milk mixture until it is well soaked
21) Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil. Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degree Celsius
22) Remove the aluminium foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the top turns golden brown
23) Let it cool down for 15 minutes and it is ready to eat
Ingredientes:
Plátano 400g
Bolillo rollo 650g
Leche 300ml
Leche evaporada 1 lata
Leche condensada 1 lata
Agua 170ml
3 Yemas de huevos
Semillas mixtas 100g
Cacahuetes 100g
Pasas 100g
Aceite de vainilla 1/2 cucharadita
Tortillas de maiz 8pc
Queso ranchero 100g
Piloncillo (Azúcar negra) 50g
Canela en rama 1pc
Mantequilla 10g (al gusto)
Aceite de cocina 10ml
Receta:
1) Limpia el cacahuate
2) Corta el panecillo en trozos pequeños (1 cm de grosor)
3) Quitar la cáscara del plátano y cortar en rodajas
4) Ablandar la tortilla de maíz con aceite hasta que esté blanda
5) 9 Tostar el panecillo con mantequilla
6) Fríer el plátano hasta tener un color
7) Hervir el agua con la rama de canela y el piloncillo (azúcar negra) hasta que se disuelva el azúcar
8) Casca 3 huevos y separa la yema con la clara de huevo
9) Mezclar bien la yema de huevo
10) Agregue la leche, la leche evaporada y la leche condensada al agua azucarada y revuelva bien. Calentar con llama pequeña
11) Agrega un poco de mezcla de leche tibia a la yema de huevo
12) Ahora puedes agregar la yema de huevo a la mezcla de leche tibia
13) Agrega media cucharadita de aceite de vainilla
14) Pon mantequilla por toda la fuente para hornear
15) Cubre el fondo y los lados de la fuente para hornear con tortillas de maíz
16) Moja el pan en la mezcla de leche y cubre la tortilla de maíz
17) Agregue las semillas mixtas, cacahuetes, queso, pasas, plátano y más leche.
18) Agrega otra capa de pan
19) Agregue otra capa de semillas mixtas, cacahuetes, , queso y pasas
20) Agregar más mezcla de leche hasta que esté bien empapada
21) Cubra la fuente para hornear con papel de aluminio. Hornear durante 25 minutos a 180 grados centígrados
22) Retire el papel de aluminio y hornee por otros 10 minutos hasta que la parte superior se dore
23) Deja que se enfríe durante 15 minutos y ¡Listo para comer!
